The dive/fishing catamaran is currently having systems tested prior to launch.
Our latest build the 10.85M Dive/fishing catamaran has taken longer than planned but is now ready for the launching trailer. We have used Nyalic clear coating to protect the alloy surface and anti-fouling will be applied the day before launching. We have high hopes for this vessel and the hull is the test-bed for future water taxis and ferries to be marketed in Australasia.

Our 10.85 meter catamaran is currently having mechanical installation completed and awaiting the electrical wiring and system. Q-SPD surface drives and Steyr 286 engines have been installed. The boat also has a Fischer Panda 8000i generator, air conditioning, water maker and a WASSP marine sonar.

Weeks 10 and 11 our factory was closed for the holiday break and we started work again on 9th January 2017. The client has issued a very long list of additional work which will add considerable time to this project. However, progress is good and we are about 75% through the extra work list into Week 14.
Window cut-outs are done, handrails complete, radar arch and cover frame on flybridge finished.

Week 9 has now passed and the major fabrication and welding work is finished. The engines have not yet arrived so we have installed the aft topsides and started the long list of small jobs to be completed.

We’re now fabricating the cabin for the Dive Cat and plating the hull of the Excursion Cat. There have been some problems to work through but progress is still good.
Fabrication work for the Dive version of our 10.85M aluminum catamaran is now around 70% complete and full welding has started. Main deck is partially laid and tacked in place and tunnel plate has been fitted and also tacked.

Construction of the three aluminum catamarans is now officially underway following a traditional Buddhist keel laying ceremony at our Sattahip factory last Sunday. 
The ceremony aims to help make construction proceed as smoothly as possible and is taken very seriously by the Thai staff. ‘Sabai Jai’ or ‘good feeling in the heart’ is assured for everyone involved when the ceremony is performed properly. 
Fire crackers are lit and go off with extreme noise to frighten away any bad spirits which may be hanging around.
Our ceremony was performed by a knowledgeable Buddist lay practitioner. A lay practitioner is simply one who has not been fully ordained as a monk or nun. Generally Buddist tradition views the lay person as fully capable to become enlightened.
